Ponsford can analyze and perform corrective treatments for anything
that is on paper. This includes drawings, prints, maps, documents,
oriental screens and limited treatments on photographs. Treatments
on the emulsions of photographs as opposed to the paper substrate
are referred to a photo conservator.
Examinations are done to decide whether an object will benefit
from active treatment. Tests are frequently made to ensure that
delicate pigments, signatures and hand coloring are retained.
